Santa Rosa Post Office recently celebrated the safe driving practices of 95 of its employees. The drivers were each recognized with National Safety Council Safe Driver pins for driving safely between one and 34 years. Additionally, each recipient received an Expert Driver Award Certificate with their name and years of safe driving.

Santa Rosa has taken a very aggressive approach towards safety this past year. Through safety talks, guest speakers, increased observations, quarterly mirror and clearance station refreshers, employee engagement programs and recognition, Santa Rosa reduced motor vehicle accidents by over 50 percent compared to the same period last year.

The top driver for this celebration was letter carrier Pat Knittel who has been driving for 34 years without a recordable motor vehicle accident.
