Who Are the Wealthiest Members of Congress?

Collectively, Members of Congress have recovered well from the recession. According to new data from the Center for Responsive Politics, the median net worth of a member of Congress was $1,029,505 in 2013, a 2.5% increase from 2012.

The median net worth of the Senate now stands at $2.8 million, and it is $843,507 for the House.

Despite the increase in overall net worth for lawmakers, there are several who haven’t fared so well. There are two dozen that have negative net worths.
