Congresswoman Barbara Comstock’s (R-VA) office will be hosting an FEHB ‘Open Season’ fair this Saturday, November 14th, at the George Washington University Science & Technology Ashburn Campus, Enterprise Hall from 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM.

The event will feature representatives from various FEHB health plans who will be available to provide information and answer questions concerning plan offerings for 2016.

This year’s open season runs from November 9th to December 14th. There will also be a limited enrollment period in January 2016 that will allow some people to make the switch to self plus one if they wish to do so.

A number of health insurance plans are leaving the FEHB next year, but there are also some new plans entering the program. Health insurance premiums will see their largest increase in five years beginning in 2016.

Federal employees, retirees, or annuitants seeking more information about the FEHB Open Season Fair may call the Congresswoman’s District office at 703-404-6903.

Speaking on the event, Comstock said, “We are excited to bring federal employees and representatives from their health plans together so they can navigate and decide what FEHB plans best fit their needs.”
