OPM Launches Federal Hiring Toolkit

OPM has launched a newly created Hiring Toolkit for HR professionals involved in the Federal hiring process.

The Office of Personnel Management (OPM) has launched a newly created Hiring Toolkit for hiring officials, human resources professionals, and other staff involved in the Federal hiring process.

The Hiring Toolkit is available on the HR University website (hru.gov) in the Recruitment Studio section and features information on topics such as fundamentals of federal hiring, a breakdown of the federal hiring process, competitive vs. excepted service hiring, and details about pay.

The Toolkit was developed in collaboration with agencies to provide hiring officials and human resources professionals information on these hiring topics.

The Toolkit is one of a series of tools OPM will be offering hiring officials to assist them with hiring and retaining top talent. It also serves as a “one-stop shop” for human resources professionals to increase their knowledge and equip them with the information needed to fully engage with hiring managers, with focus on improving the quality of hires.
