The vice president and certain political appointees will continue to have their pay levels frozen heading into 2016.

A recent memo from the Office of Personnel Management notes that the president’s recent executive order on federal pay continues the freeze on the payable pay rates for the Vice President and certain senior political appointees at 2013 levels during calendar year 2016.

Federal employees under the General Schedule are getting an average across-the-board 1.3% pay raise this year. For details, see Executive Order Finalizing 2016 Pay Rates Issued.
