OPM Updates Pay Guidance for NAFI Employees Moving to GS Positions

The Office of Personnel Management has updated the pay fact sheet for Nonappropriated Fund Instrumentalities (NAFI) employees who move to General Schedule positions.

The Office of Personnel Management recently updated the pay fact sheet for Nonappropriated Fund Instrumentalities (NAFI) employees who move to General Schedule positions. The fact sheet has been updated to use 2016 rates of pay.

OPM describes the fact sheet in this way: “When a Department of Defense (DOD) or Coast Guard NAFI employee (as described in 5 U.S.C. 2105(c)) moves to a GS position in DOD or the Coast Guard, respectively, without a break in service of more than 3 days, the employee’s pay is set as described in this fact sheet.”

The pay fact sheet is based on whether an employee’s move the GS pay system was voluntary or involuntary.

For details, see the revised fact sheet on OPM’s website.
