Suing Over Suggestions

I was not aware that a federal employee could file a lawsuit over the amount of a suggestion award. No doubt, this will be a fertile area for a whole new area of legal expertise with law firms setting up a separate section to handle the potential influx of cases.

Wow, at least he got his suggestions approved.
I submitted one suggestion 2 years ago, they (Army) delayed reviewing it for months, by the time the did get around to reviewing it, it had been written into regulation a week prior to their review.
The second submission i submitted has been awaiting review by Army Recruiting command for about a 1.5 years.

Under the heading of suggestion award stories; I made a suggestion many years ago to my DA agency that was a very simple one line code change to a critical piece of computer software. The code change increased the speed of the software many times over and since this particular module was accessed millions of times each year, this small change would make a big difference. Not only was my suggestion approved, but the award amount was tripled because it was determined to have such great impact. Although I did enjoy receiving the money, it felt like a very hollow victory. Nobody ever changed the code. It was classic government waste in action.

DoD has a limit to award funds that can be awarded to a federal employee at a federal activities/commands.
This gentlemen is very lucky that he got the first 24K amount.
Most groups do not give this high of an award in fact some federal activities/commands limit the award amount to $9K per award and in some cases combine the awards.
But! Now this gentlemen is costing the federal government more money in court costs and legal fees. Some people don't know when they have it so good.
Now - We will have to deduct cost of the court cost and legal fees from any of his awards. HAHAHA

The very fact that you all are not appalled by the idea of someone actually filing suit for an extra award is mind boggling. Never in my life have I seen such a greedy and self absorbed workforce.
