China doesn't have a stellar reputation in the area of human rights. I wouldn't walk public streets in Saudi Arabia with a cross or Star of David necklace. Venezuela recently shut down TV stations critical to the government. My point is should we stop trading with these countries and divest of all our investments. I would rather not have Congress making investment decisions for me based on their ethical standards. Although using their standards as a benchmark, there would be very few barred investments.

The money in the TSP belongs to employees and we should be able to invest our money as we see fit. We did not elect our congressman to be our collective conscience. They need to butt out before they ruin the model investment program we have all come to know and love.

I do not trust some of our political leaders. From what I am hearing on the news report, I question their personal ethics on how they handle and gain funds into their own coffers (at the expense of the American tax payer).
