Hatch Act

I'm curious whether expressions of political support or opposition made during duty hours, sent on government computers, could be considered Hatch Act violations.

The Hatch Act cases I have seen (and there are not many) were always involving someone using e-mail with a personal name attached, sent out to a number of people and urging support for a candidate from a person's government e-mail address to these people.
In short, it would be a big stretch for someone to try and make the case against a few thousand federal employees who respond to an anonymous survey--even for those who express a direct opinion. While I realize many of us occasionally display paranoia on some issues, this would not be worth an investigation--and certainly not a prosecution--even if there was a name associated with a comment.

I recently estimated that the "Bush Tax Cuts" made over a $10,000 difference in my Federal taxes for 2006. I cannot wait until the folks put Hillary Rodham Clinton in and those tax cuts go away.

I would absolutely NOT vote for her. I have put money into social security for 30 years and that may not be around when I'm eligible to retire. Now she want to give how much money to every child born in the US? I don't think so...Not with my money.

No matter which Democract is elected, it will take all 4 yrs to straighten out the mess our country is in now. I believe that Senator Clinton would start to get our country back on the right track, but we must remember that 4 yrs. is not long enough for us to see the progress of her work.

"Hillary has the perspective, the knowledge, the people skills ..." are you kidding? Unless you are talking SKEWED perspective, PERCEIVED knowledge and if ABRASIVENESS counts as a "people skill," I'd say you are way off base! Also, to the person who said Hillary "gets it - (that) 60% of voters are women" - don't be deceived, there are plenty of women who'd like to distance themselves from her as much as possible! Shared gender doesn't mean shared values!
