More employees should be held accountable for their running of the mouth. I've seen it time and again, not just towards management, but colleagues, as well. Punishment well deserved.

another version: whistleblowing is dead... courts dont even acknowledge there is whistleblowing... just disrepect the person beyond his tolerance and fire him after he gets mad... it's the new MO for removing people who see that citizens are being taken for a ride and make a note of it... the elite, the industrial, and the military complex are one and they dont want to hear anything unless they ask as they already got paid off to bury the issue...

How about holding supervisors responsible for THEIR unruly behavior? I had a supervisor at the VA who reeked of angst and provoked hostility in the work place. I bailed from that agency quickly as I could see they enabled bad behavior. She threw whatever she had in her hand, slammed doors and told employees to, "shut the F up." Great role model....and....she was promoted!

What, if anything, can an employee do about a supervisor who constantly uses profanity and extreme vulgarity in the work place. Do we just have to listen to it and have it used toward us? I really want to know. I have a supervisor who constantly throws the "F" bomb at us when she is unhappy with us. Please help.

If your supervisor uses profanity a lot, shouldn't you be able to take it to your EEO office? Profanity is generally not allowed towards employees as it promotes a hostile work environment. EEO is very big on this. Plus it is not conducive to a professional environment. And most EEO claims can be anonymous, though I would call them and ask first. Definitely a course of action to take in regards to profanity.

I used to work with the guy. Yes, he can be a little "abrasive" as they put it, but he has a history of not taking crap from anyone, including superiors. He always defended the little guy and stood for what he believed in. They should have promoted him instead of fire him. I would be willing to bet that he was somehow justified, but came across wrong. Navy F&ES Gulf Coast - I guess you guys are supposed to be automotons now. That sucks. Oh well, mind your tone from now on.

After 23 years of stellar record I find myself in similar circumstances. Te CEO of my place of employmnent is using a manager to provoke me and has even succeeded in suspending me for an argument with a captain who was clearly out of line.
This I believe is a result of me being a wittness to miscundict on the part of the CEO.
A clear case of retaliation. If I don't watch myself I could lose my retirement.

Maybe they're trying to get rid of you because they don't feel that you are "professional" enough in their standards. Try taking a good look at yourself and brush up on your writing skills, too. You know, the best way to really piss someone off is to "kill them with kindness." Do a 360 on them, it'll really throw them for a loop. Be careful, don't confuse my suggestion with "brown-nosing." If you stay true to yourself, life will be much easier.

Everyone knows if a military person gets to loud, or abusive that if they have over 20 years in the military service that they tell them to retire.
We civilians that work with Military beside us see this a lot (hundreds of time).

They never fire military personnel. I repeat they never fire them.

The judge should have said you have two choices.
You are fired and can not file again and have no benefits.
Or you can retire with your benefits and never file again.

It is funny how we seem to have two standards.

Shame on the Judge.

He had a chance to end this filing and waste of government money but he DID NOT.

SHame on the Judge.

Have you never seen or heard of a court martial? I can't imagine the Marines are that different than the Air Force or the Army.

we've had supervisors steal, lie, forge names on documents, misuse govt credit cards, and they were allowed to retire, some even being allowed to be put in do-nothing jobs and wait until they were eligible.

I agree with the USMC WorkBee person.

I have seen so many people steal, lie, lie about people they work with, forge names, and miss use budget funds for personal use, and
YES those indivduals were PERMITTED TO RETIRE.

WE had a big IG investgation and the six GS-15 people that got caugth with there hand in the cookie jar - They were permitted to work three more years before retiring and they did nothing during those three years.

We had a LtCol that was caught with his hand in the cookie jar and they let him retire the next year when he reached his 20 year mark (and he did nothing during that year).

AS FOR THE HRO PERSON:
99% of Court maritals are due to the mistreatment of a fellow human being, not following a direct order, child pron on the internet, or the biggest problem now is drug or gang related problems in the services.

I agress with the USMC - SHAME ON THE JUDGE.

SHAME ON THE HRO PERSON FOR NOW SEEKING HELP FOR THIS INDIVIDUAL!
