It amazes me how some of you people can be so misinformed. Obama is a Christian. He is a member of the Trinity United Church of Christ. This info is easily available to anyone who does a couple minutes of research. I am not an Obama supported, but you people should get your facts straight before making false assertions. And Fedsmith, it is one thing to allow people to express an OPINION, but why would you post statements that are flat-out lies?

I'm no fan of Obama, but just for the record it was Keith Ellision, D-Minn, who was sworn in using Thomas Jeffersons copy of the Koran. Obama was baptised a Christian in his 20's and used his own Bible to be sworn in. Simple net search will validate the facts. See one link here that describes that. Also see politifact.com that also ran the story to correct misinformation.

I really would like to see Obama win this next election. This country definetly needs major change. The last 7 years have been anything but the greatest. Once the House and Senate came under control of the Republicans this country went down like a lead balloon, our place in the world is no longer looked upon favorable. The rich keep getting richer...you know the rest.

It is obvious from the comments above that the Republican propoganda machine is working at a high level. It's unfortunate that the republican party is not as effective at governing as they are at being elected. Of course, why would a party who does not believe in government be good at governing?

No, it is not obvious that it is the Republican propoganda machine; it could just as easily be another Democratic candidate's (cough, Hillary Clinton, cough) propoganda machine. Surely you are not naive enough to believe that Democrats are as pure as the driven snow when it comes to dirty campaign tricks. If so, I have a bridge I'd like to sell you.

Why were there so many UNDECIDED’s. Could it be that not all the Candidates were listed? What is the media, including this one, afraid of? I will bet that most of the UNDECIDED only had one choice "UNDECIDED". That was all I had when I tried to express my vote. Mr. Duncan Hunter is the only candidate now that the Republicans should be listing too. All the rest, especially mccain and clinton, want to give this country to foreign governments. Obama probably has a secret agenda of is own.
s/very disappointed.

Barack Obama is a Christian...he is NOT a Muslim. This is an example of the false information that are being spread about a real contender. The Republicans in our country succeed by making falseness sound real and by judging others that think with an open mind as "evil." Their truth is what they hear from their pastor, not from free thinking. I'm a registered Republican hoping we can moderate the views of the party...which is unlikely.
