Neither candidate is qualified to be the President of the United States.

I couldn't agree more! If we end up with EITHER Obama or Hillary for President, we are in MUCH DEEPER trouble than we already are. With all of the problems our country is facing (a Fed that only knows how to drive down the value of the US Dollar, a Congress that refuses to address the REAL issues- big budget deficit, Social Sec. going bankrupt, etc. etc.) we need REAL leadership, not a President that would drag us even closer to a socialist society.

We also need a Commander in Chief that can lead (and will have the respect of) our military forces!!!

I was not aware of Obama's failure to register for selective service. Yes, that is relevant as it makes him dishonest, too.

Don't want Hillary/Billary as she is inexperienced (being the former First Lady doesn't make you an experienced president) and overtly hostile when not getting her way (did you catch her snipey remark related to the Saturday Night Live skit?). I think she would be ineffective in dealing with other's viewpoints or positions.

Don't really like Sen. McCain (used to live in Arizona and he does not represent his constituents but rather his own national political interests). Anybody running as an independent?

Interesting that you were pretty defensive about the comments you post along with the survey results. Too bad there are a couple of duplicate comments, reportedly from different respondents in different agencies. The proof-reading is not up to your usual very high standards.

How can anyone use the word "experience" when associated with Hillary, experience in what guys? And in the case of Obama he has showed up for muster in Congress for a couple of years and that qualifies him for what? And McCain swings from left to right and back. I am going to have to do a write in for Fred Thompson or the rabbit next door!

...if (in)Decision '08 comes to either Hillary or Obama.

That would force a run-off, and people unhappy w/either might vote Nader to vote against McCain--just to keep the Republicans out of office at last.

Personally I'm for Hillary--this country just can't afford Obama's OJT on our backs and in our wallets--but I'll vote Green first before I vote for yet another Republican nut-job...

Not to nitpick too much, but this article seems poorly constructed - for example, did the employee relations specialist with the USDA in California and the IT specialist with the IRS in Maryland really say the exact same thing? (by the way, Clinton "(took) the country out of debt for 8 years"? Don't make me laugh!) Also, you say, "A VA manager in New York City favors Obama over Clinton based on experience," and then go on to quote someone who says Obama is inexperienced and that Clinton will be more capable of independent action (which again, makes me laugh). But back to a real issue - the simple fact remains that NO candidate (democratic or republican) has said HOW they will end the war and bring the troops home. It's all about empty promises just to win the election - color me shocked!

Hum -- the USDA and the IT individuals did not say the same thing!

To "employee, VHA" - the way the article originally appeared, yes, they did have the EXACT same quote attributed to two different people. I realize it was a typo, but please don't question/insult my intelligence - it was obviously changed when the author recognized the mistake.

Come on Ralph!

I'm so excited that Ralph Nader is back. I think that the real American populace will sober up and realize we can't run the country and the free world on "change" for the sake of "change", no matter how strong some uneducated voters "believe in" it. An imperfect but preferable John McCain will win in November, and Ralph Nader will help by siphoning off a small percentage of the over-emotional neo-socialist/communists that are making so much noise at Obamapalooza shows.

i'm so sick of this experience blather. Show me one president who had experience to be a president. Its absurd. I don't like all half of Obama's plans but he's closer to the opportunity for real and drastic change from the crippling current laughable policies and plodding government we have now. All McCain can do is keep us in Iraq. Yeah, that's a great plan. Did anybody happen to catch the clip of Bush post the African nation trip that the Turks should accomplish their Iraq invasion objectives and then get out right away?! What an utter horrifying joke. Whatsamatter Bush? Can't have 2 invaders in the same country? Obama is the only one who stood his ground on the war regardless of the naysayers and those who cowed to the administration. I'll vote for him for that. Clinton follows the trend whatever it may be. Not what we need. It'll take decades to undo the harm Bush has already done, if its even possible.

Stood his ground - He wasn't even in office when the vote to authorize the war taken. He is playing Monday morning quarterback and you have fallen for it. Just like NAFTA, he is playing Monday morning quarterback. It is easy to rail against NAFTA now versus when it passed into law. Obama is a blank canvass. He is anything you want him to be. Senators historically have a hard time becoming President because they really don't Govern anything. Yes they vote on laws, but they only manage themselves. This election you have three Senators to chose from who really have not governed anything. Obviously McCain has the most experience in Government versus the other two, but that doesn't automatically mean he can Govern. Governors (Bush) actually have to Govern. They have to run States which typically makes them a lot more qualified for President than Senators.

IT Speclst, that's an entertaining rant but you've substituted rational discussion with partisan talking points and trash talking.

Attitudes like yours are a big part of the problem these days.

Interesting comment with respect to Partisan Politics. I thought I took equal shots at all three of them with respect to the ability to govern. If anyone is being partisan it is you because you totally missed my point with respect to any one of them having the ability to Govern.
