We watch about an hour of cable news on weeknights (that's as much inanity as anyone at our house can stand), and the more I see of Obama, the more I think he might be able to get the demoralized citizenry mobilized to clean up the national mess. He's a gifted speaker. So, although I don't agree with many of his positions, overall he is probably the best choice.

This is an insightful comment. It is pro-Obama biased media to state readers reflect national trend of Obama over Clinton. You are obviously biasly selecting comments in favor of Obama to post on your site.

Any national trend of Obama over Clinton is simply relfecting the pro-Obama biased media against Sen. Clinton. The pro-Obama biased media are undermining the Democratic nomination process.

When Bill Clinton was running for president the first time, his lack of experience came into question. Both Clintons were quick to defend his qualifications, inexperience not withstanding.

Why, then, do the Clintons consider Obama's supposed inexperience to be a handicap when they didn't consider it to be one for Bill Clinton?

Contract Specialist, to answer your question, the Clintons are not capable of adhering to the standards they demand those who oppose them adhere to.

Just looking at the facts, Laura Bush has just as much White House experience as Hillary - would we elect Laura President?

Again, the facts - Obama is just a first-term junior senator with 2 years Federal service. What subcommittees, committees, or other leadership positions has he held? What legislation has he successfully sponsored? Answer - none!

As far as their "plans" to retreat from the Middle East - have they mentioned what they think will happen, or what their plans will be, when the terrorists simply follow us home?

Hillary has a lot more experience being a socialist, but Obama is rapidly catching up. Neither has drawn upon their vast experience in this area to outline how they plan to pay for their utopian projects - except to "soak the rich" and dismantle the military (like Bill did - which is the reason for having to activate the National Guard for Iraq).

As an independent, I can't vote for either; it's scary that they are all that the Democrats can draw upon to run.

Laura Bush would have been a better choice for President - she would have listened to other people and not just her own egomania. However, Hiliary Clinton does have experience as a Senator where Laura Bush does not - FACT!

Experience as a Senator does not mean you are a leader. Last time I checked we are electing a new leader and we will have to decide who is the best leader. Right now a platoon leader has more experience in leading than any of the three. We will have to decide who we think will be a good leader.

This is a telling comment.. The Democratic party is in serious trouble if these two are the best they can offer.

Our best hope is that voters don't buy into the fool's paradise called liberalism.

I agree. We should all consider backing John McCain. That way, we can forget about all this lieberal garbage and go back to the traditional values that made this country great, like attacking and destroying people and cities in far away lands.

McCain, I fully support your bomb-bomb-bomb, bomb-bomb Iran threory of Presidential power. After that, there are at least 115 other countries that won't do everything the US tells them, so let's just wipe them out too.

Obama is too much of a coward to attack other countries on a whim (ie based on lies and propoganda like W did), and Hillary would only attack those folks via cruise missiles (it must run in the family).

So please, let's support 100 years of needless war and forget the Democrats.

While McCain's statement of 100 years could have been stated better, he was referring to the US's tendancy to keep troops in troubled areas where we have interests. WWII - We still have troops. Korea- We still have troops, Japan- We have troops. The troops are not coming home regardless of who is in office. We let millions die in Vietnam when we left because they simply wanted us to leave and not come over and bomb us. Muslim Terrorists want to take power in IRAQ and use the oil money to spread violence abroad. They will kill millions in IRAQ with help from IRAN and Syria to achieve that power. We can not afford that to happen for our Countries safety as well as our friends. We as Americans are part of the problem. We think only in the short term while these terrorists think in the long term with their planning and execution.

Engineer, that's a cleverly phrased rant but besides being packed full of partisan talking points and over the top generalities it's without substance of any kind. Nice try.

If nothing else, I drip with sarcasm. But it's what the American public has come to require and admire.

Headlines, and nothing else.

Heaven forbid that the general citizen stops doing what he/she is told and begins to think for themselves.

Until that time, I'll use headlines and over-the-top generalities. "get their attention first" I say, because "Americans believe the first thing they hear".

post script: I'm an independent. Neither Rep nor Dem. You'll see me attack both sides equally. Today, I'm just going with the last comment and remarking on the (obvious) Republican using over the top methods and rants and raves to attack liberals.
