What makes First Lady qualified?

Yo, Dude, what accomplishments and deliverables make Hillary qualified as being spouse of a previous president? Other than a Woodstock Museum earmark, what has she accomplished as Senator? And wasn't the Congress a REPUBLICAN Congress that actually carried out the deficit reduction inthe 1990s? On domestic spending and national security, I prefer to trust my life to John McCain.

****An employee relations specialist with the USDA in California also supports Clinton: "Best Qualified since she's been spouse of previous president who has taken the country out of debt for 8 years."****

First, I don't know the basis for Senator Clinton's claim of 35 years of experience. Personally, I don't count time spent as First Lady of Arkansas or the United States as experience.

Second, my wife was going to vote for Senator Clinton until a friend came up to her in line and said, "Picture Bill Clinton in the White House with nothing to do." She voted for Senator Obama.

Third, I have a 30+ year Federal Career because I was inspired by President Kennedy's "Ask not what your country can do for you; ask what you can do for your country." I think that Senator Obama has the potential to inspire a new generation of Americans in the same way.

So many people speak about one or the other of the candidates being experienced or having total lack of experience and or being qualified.

Both have experience. What kind of experience do we want the President of the United States to have?

Are either qualified? Has any president been fully qualified other than a sitting President? How does one become qualified to be president of the United States? What are the qualifications for being president of the United States? I am thinking that person most qualified to be president of the United States are Mayors of very large cities such as New York Los Angeles, Dallas and a few others, Governors of states having very large populations such as California and New York and Generals who have been Supreme Allied Commander Europe.

Oh well!

According to Greenspan, the booming economy he inherited was the main reason for the ensuing surplus. Also according to Greenspan, Clinton was more engaged and more aware, economically, than most other Presidents. But let us not forget, Bill Clinton lied under oath in a situation where most anyone possessing just a little bit of moral courage would have come clean. And then he was impeached. Does it really make sense to vote Billary back to the White House?

I'm no fan of Bill Clinton's, but to be fair, he was acquitted of all perjury and obstruction of justice charges. He left office with some of the highest approval ratings of any president.

The poltically motivated impeachment trial was a huge waste of time and taxpayer money.

HR Spec, Clinton may have been aquitted, but the fact that he put himself in the position to be charged in the first place indicates he has serious character flaws.

I was up in the air between the two with a slight leaning towards Sen. Obama until the Ohio Debate. When Sen. Clinton complained/whined about always going first in questions, and percieved harsher treatment by the media, my first reaction was "What the heck?"

Real Leaders want to go first and lead the way, they overcome adversity and adjust their path based on obstacles they encounter and new information. They don't whine or complain. That combined with the arrogant manner of her campaign and failing to plan past "Super Tuesday" make it clear to me that Sen. Clinton is a poor leader, and would make an even worse President of the United States.

Hillary is more qualified than what?

People are commenting that Hillary is more qualified than Obama. Just because she was married to the President (and had little to do with him - just ask Monica Lewinsky who had much more to do with him) doesn't qualify her. Would you hire a plumber whose sole "experience" was being married to a plumber? Or a doctor? Being married to someone does not qualify you in their job. I must admit however, that yes, I do agree with many of the comments that say Hillary has experience - experience in lying, cheating, taking the governments money for her own benefit. She is a pure socialist and wants to tax Americans to death. She had her chance with Healthcare - Congress wanted no part of it - what will make it different now? Enough of the Clinton's - their 10 minutes of fame has ended long ago. Let's move on to someone with fresh insights and ideas.

A retiree from ICE in Houston raised the question of whether Obama registered for the Selective Service and if this is true he should be fired. Wasn't there a story recently about a career federal employee who got fired after many years of service because they found out he did not register for the Selective Service and OPM couldn't save him even though his agency didn't want to fire him?
