Risky Investment

Investments are inherently risky when you ignore them and do not understand where we are in the business cycle. Capital preservation is a very important focus if you want to improve your long term rate of return. This bear market was very predictable for anyone who follows what is going on in the economy and the markets. The last bear market was also predictable. Suggesting that TSP investers are better off being lazy than keeping their eyes open is not good advice. It is advice that does not take any effort to provide. As they say 2 cents worth.
