This is a neo-con/administration loyalist. If guilty, they should make an example of him, & next go after his superiors. He did not act alone. It was a team effort!

Maybe the current Director wanted REAL investigations as opposed to whitewashing.

If the current Director wanted REAL investigations as opposed to whitewashing them then why is the FBI investigating him? Could it be that the current Director is doing something illegal? Your statement is illogical.

One of another in a long line of Bush appointees to hit the skids. We are suppose to show the office of the President respect when his close ties with the Directors of HUD, GSA and now Special Counsel are indicating improper ties with the Republican Party. Cheney and the oil executives meeting behind closed doors, now look what has happened to oil prices. Is it any wonder why the American people have no confidence in our system? Greed, power and influence peddling, unfortunately is not limited to one party, but it seems old Georgie boy is up to his eyeballs in this. Hey, California had a recall of its governor, can we do the same for national politicans? Kind of like a Mulligan in golf.

You are 100% right. I am shock that the American public is not demanding that the President and Vice President disclose what was discuss in that oil executives meeting behind closed doors. I feel that they talked about raising the price of gas and oil. They also discuss how to present their plans to the American public. The President, Vice President and the oil executives are screwing all of the American public with these crazy gas prices and at the same time, they are not giving us a kiss.

Do most Americans even have an idea this has taken place or what it means to them?
There should be no surprise...neither side of the isle is clean...
Remember...George was the "anointed one" by the republican party after Bob "its my turn" Dole produced a less than stellar run against Bill "I did not have sex" Clinton. Looks like the lesson to be learned from the last 16 years is that the status quo needs change....no not any one candidate....If an "I" is after their name, well you know the rest. After all, changing my affiliation to independent should send some sort of message....

This is a political shell game. No one blamed for the breaches in law are held accountable. Agencies created to protect our laws don't. Noticed that investigations are done w/ no result? People are getting paid big $ to do nothing. There's no recourse in govmnt. now. The constitution is being ignored. Watch dogs of govt. agencies don't guard our rights, & look the other way. Closed meetings, secret documents, evidence disappearing, the norm now. I thought the reason our 4 fathers came over here, was so no monied elite group couldn't call the shots for the rest of us. Since the american people don't protest in the conventional way anymore, they're getting away w/ any crazy scheme. The greed & corruption is in this country is criminal, but no one is going to jail. We need to put age & term limits on the congress/senate/presidency. We can't save the new future, w/ old politicians making deals/laws to keep them & theirs comfortable, & giving themselves raises. We the people, ignored
