Why is it that people are getting on Barack Obama's case about Rev. Wright. Obama has clearly cut himself off from Wright after Wright blind-sided him. If I were a conspiracy theorist (which I am not) I would believe that Wright was paid off by some of the neo-con Republican supporters to attempt to sabotage Obama's campaign. In reality, Wright is simply an egotisitcal publicity seeker.
But then we get to Rev. John Hagy, who condemns the Catholic Church and people with AIDS, claims that gays were responsible for Hurricane Katrina. McCain has sought his support. But somehow McCain gets a pass from the media (and of course the Bush-supporting neo-cons), whereas Obama faces constant questioning about Wright. This is rank hypocracy.

Wear a flag on your lapel while you treat the vets like dirt when they get home - we still haven't taken care of the Viet Nam Vets in an honorable way - I worked at the VA when they came home - it hurt me so bad, I had to get another job - couldn't stand it - and they continue with their "we love our vets" hypocrisy with the returning vets from Iraq and Afghanistan and who knows where else our young men and women have been placed. I support them because they have laid down their lives for family, friends, and enemies alike. They deserve more than a Commander In Chief running around with a flag on his lapel, they deserve someone that will NEVER EVER forget their sacrifice - that lapel pin don't do nothing but appease a bunch of hypocritical airheads! Just like toting a bible don't make one a Christian, wearing a flag pin don't make one patriotic! My friend must be right, there is something in the water!

Neither of these individuals are my choice for President, but I will have to vote for McCain simply because I believe he is far better than Obama. I happen to believe Bush erred in invading Iraq, but that is in the Past and we cannot go back in time to change it. I sincerely believe however that McCain has the wisdom and experience over Obama and I am concerned about Obama's blatant Marxist views and his attitude toward the American flag and institutions! Frankly, I think Obama is a wolf in sheep's clothing and that an Obama presidency would be disastrous for this nation. His skin color has nothing to do with it....it is his Philosophy...it scares the living hell out of me!!!

I am just shock that after 8 years of Bush, some American still wants another 4 more years of the same type of policies (McClain) in leading our country. In 4 more years under McClain I guess you will be happy with gas at $8.00 a gallon, our military still fighting in Iraq, our bridges falling into our rivers, all of the new McDonald and Wal-Mart jobs, our highway looking like the moon and our wages being eaten up by all the high cost of living in America. Your type of thinking is very sad.

Then we have a veteran that suffered at the hands of the enemy for years, endured unspeakable pain and horrors, while Hillary was back home marching against his cause.
And Obama was not even a twinkle in his dad's eye at that time.
And we now have a chance to give a little back to one who gave so much for his country.
Not a tough choice for me.
Just so you know, I am not white, so fold up the bigotry card deck and cash in your chips.

Some of the most brutal acts in history have been committed by those claiming to listen to God. We need look no further back than 9/11 to see the results.
Any politician claiming to be guided by prayer will get extra scrutiny from me.

What experience is needed to be President

I'm somewhat amused by the arguments regarding "experience" needed to be President. As usual most people ignore our history. Suppose you had to choose between two Presidential candidates, one of whom had spent 20 years in Congress plus had considerable other relevant experience and the other of whom had about half a dozen years in the Illinois state legislature and 2 years in Congress. Which one do you think would make a better President? If you chose #1, you picked James Buchanan over Abraham Lincoln. Your pick disagrees with that of most historians, who see Lincoln as the greatest President ever and Buchanan as the second worst ever, better only than Warren "Teapot Dome" Harding. So much for experience!

How did Barack Obama show disrespect for the US flag? Because he doesn't wear a flag pin on his lapel? Most people in the U.S. don't. Does that mean they're disrespectful? As far as not putting his hand over his heart when the national anthem was playing (yes, it was the national anthem, not the pledge of allegiance), I don't know that most folks do that either. He was standing at attention and appeared very respectful to me. If you've ever been to a baseball game you can see plenty of people being a lot less respectful than that. I think there are some folks who will grasp at any straw to come up with a reason not to support him, when in fact they are really closet racists and don't even want to admit that to themselves.

politicians, all of them, have their own agendas. I don't care what color or sex our president is. (As much as many of you like to believe) If I don't agree with Obama, its because of his stand on certain issues. Now is NOT the time to play the race card - on either side. It only angers people and puts them on the defensive. Both blacks and whites can be "closet" racists.

It would be interesting to see the racial breakdown of the voting. Senator Obama has received 92% of the black vote among the general population. This high figure is not possible without racism being a factor. Blacks are voting for Obama simply because he is black.
The employment policies of the federal government, from my experience, are already far too heavily weighted in favor of minorities. The election of senator Obama would only make this worse.

Go girl! And that's what a Republican has to say about it - a black woman who travels around the world talking to foreign dignitaries on behalf of America - and y'all love Ms. Condi - she thinks the good ole USA is deformed! LOL Wonder why the media hasn't blasted this all over the place - because it don't look good for the Republicans, GW and white middle class America and why would they, we have good ole Mr. Obama to whip!
CONDOLEEZZA RICE was reminded of her decision to become a Republican after the 1984 Democratic National Convention. She said the Democratic Party's speeches to ''women, minorities, and the poor'' really meant ''helpless people and the poor.'' Rice said, ''I decided ''I decided I'd rather be ignored than patronized.''
