Every IRS employee knows the rules, and he got what he deserved. He should be required to pay the costs of his myopic appeals. I hope NTEU did not waste resources aggressively defending this moron, but I suspect they did.

The employee's appeal was 'Pro Se' so it is doubtful that much, if any resources, were expended. Additionally, he may have very well been a NBU or manager. How nice of you to be concerned about how my dues are spent! Try paying dues before you start whining about how they are spent please.

Gils Son: Speaking of myopic, your comment is apt. Union fighting wastes more than dues. Taxes are squandered by the government having to address the appeals and in direct and indirect subsidy of union activity. I trust you are not as poorly informed as your comment implies. Ignorance contributes to so much waste. By the way, it is unlikely that the employee was a manager or NBU.

My comments were in direct response to your statement of union resourses expended. Additionally, all at NHQ got a big laugh out of the 'unlikely it was a NBU or manager' comment. Please repond further as your comments are lifting the morale over here.

Son: Are you on leave as you browse the web and share your findings with coworkers? You may not care that union activity is largely subsidized by taxes, but the public would.
The title does not sound like a manager or NBU, but I may be mistaken. Regardless you fail to understand. If I entertain you, you must be limited in stimulation. Try more work and less idleness.
The public believes government employees are overpaid and underworked. Generally they are mistaken, but cases such as this support their view. Talking with you might also.

More should be removed from Federal Service

I think that more Federal Service employees should be be removed and should include violatons under OMB Circular A-123 Part b, for non payment of their government travel cards or in instances where past due balances are turned over to collection for non-payment of their bills.

If the IRS is serious about setting the example for the rest of government, I would think that they could have a routine check ANNUALLY to see if they have others like this guy. He has benefitted with continued employment WAY too long. Who knows how many others may be out there, if it took this long to catch him?

What about alll the men and women in Congress? Don't pay "Your fired". The Judges, "Your fired". The Political Appointees, "Your fired". The President, "Your fired". Only when there is lawlessness in the leadership, will there be lawlessness in the nation.
