i congratulate mr. wilkinson for his "common touch" in providing information to the general public that they may not be aware of. i myself deal with this sort of thing on a daily basis. i work with multifamily hsg. at hud, but sometimes people call when they are late on their mortgage, about to be evicted and/or are homeless. i try and provide the best possible customer care that i can because that's what i'm here for, to serve the customer. the only bad part about it is that sometimes the government as a whole don't realize that these type of jobs need to be upgraded to at least a gs-9 instead of stopping at a gs-7 level, but at least some satisfaction comes when at the end of the day you feel that you have helped someone along the way.

Kudos

MR.Wilkinson is to be congratulated. However as soon as his bosses see this he most likley be given a job where he has no contact with the public. A federal employe trying to do his job how unusual. How embaressing to his bosses that they didn't think of i't first.
