...the TSP isn't broken, so of course, they want to "fix" it. I say not just "No!" but "Hell, NO!!!"

While 1 & 2 seem reasonable and benign, everything else is really scary. I think the reasonable changes are being offered to hide the scary ones.

A Roth is easy to do outside TSP. Lucky people who have enough to max out the amounts they can contribute to other plans.

Actively managed investments are a mistake in this kind of plan. Were the frequent traders stopped just to put frequent trading into the hands of invisible people beholden to Congress?

Isn't that about like our leadership - always thinking of us, the worker-bees!! We have a very good TSP retirement fund and now they want to get their hands and those of their cronies on OUR money. Sounds a little like the "loans" from Social Security which have never been and likely will never be repaid.

We need to clean house!! Fire the likes of Mr. WAXMAN Mr. TOM DAVIS of Virginia, and Mr. DAVIS of Illinois.

That's right Mr. HUD Project Manager. After this, it won't be long before Congress dips their little greedy fingers into our hard-earned money to pay for their "pork" & other "special interest" projects. Recall that already once before - during the gov't shut down, I beleive - these greedy individuals were already looking to supposedly "borrow" from the Thrift Savings Plan monies. Any body else remember this more clearer then I? We need to get these people out of office!

NO! NO!! NO!!!!

Congress has no business messing with TSP!! If it ain't broke, don't fix it!!! Given the opportunity, Congress will screw it up just like they do everything else they touch!!!

I worked for Qwest Communications for 26 years before the CEO book-cooked and ruined our 401K. The management fees there eat away at is what left of those who still have their money sitting in there. I beg of you, don't let this happen to our TSP. The Qwest funds are all garbage as far as I am concerned.

I have had to start over investing in a 401K. I was glad to enroll in the Federal Plan. Financial companies are out for themselves. Send this message to Congress. Maybe they want all of us on Medicaid when we can't work anymore. Changing the TSP is only good for greedy analysts and politicians and corporations. I have lived it, and I know.

Is there a petition to sign or anything we can do to let it be known that we don't want this?

The problem we have now with the C fund is that the SP500 is (or, maybe was) so dominated by the finance sector. That sector's poor performance has pulled down the entire index. I would like to see a few more funds that would compliment the C and S -- something broad
