Hello,
Another website that sends packages to deployed personnel is www.treatsfortroops.com. You can purchase a package from their website, and they send it to the soldier/sailor/Airman/Marine. If you know someone deployed, you can direct your gift to them. If you dont', and want to brighten someone's day, you can "Foster a Soldier'. Anyone who is deployed can register via the site, and you select from that list to whom your gift will be sent.

I have used the AnySoldier website on numerous occasions and agree that it is a great resource for supporting our troops. I would like to note though that our troops need support throughout the year, not just at holiday time. Thanks for including this very worthy topic.

As a parent of childern stationed in Iraq, I know how much those letters and packages mean to our military members.
However I wish you would drop the misleading commentary, "protecting America".
Our childern are serving in their job on misfortunate,
miscalculated, poorly thought through mission "bringing freedom to the world" which should have never taken place.
Support the troops, they are doing their best they can!

As the wife of a federal employee who is spending 18 months in Iraq to help rebuild the country, I ask everyone to remember the many dedicated NON-military people over there. Yes, our troops deserve our support, but so do the civilians. Thank you.
