Does this pertain to GS or NSPS employees? Does this mean special salary rates will begin seeing locality pay increases on their base pay? Any help would greatly be appreciated. Thanks

Is it possible that an amendment be introduced that would allow that the comparability adjustment that is programmed to occur in increments of 1/3 portion per year, be done totally in the year 2010, if there is no objection from an individual employee?

So you are telling us Temps out her we can get creditable service for out temporary time without a break in service? I had 4 years in and that makes me to old to enjoy my retitrement because my temp time does not count. For Creditable service. How unfair when you are doing the same job as opther coworkers and then ,made a perment employee. Finally some see's the light. NOT FAIR

I retired suddenly with about 32 years service in 1995.
My wife was terminal with cancer and another family household member going in for brain surgery. I had used about 200 to 300 hours annual leave caring for them, FMLA was new about then so I could not use sick leave credit and ate up all my annual leave.
I left to care for them and with the sudden seperation for service I left, loosing about1500 to 2000 hours sick leave on the books with no credit.
MY QUESTION, I was CSRS so WILL I BE GETTING ANY CREDIT BACK IN THE FORM OF $ WITH THIS (HR2990) ?

I wish the Senate would get a clue that this would help both current employees and previous employees to be treated with the same laws as CSRS employees. With un-employment one of the biggest Economic challenges today one would think they would realize how this would strengthen the hiring pool and current work force. Please write your Senators to support this bill!

Tell me or direct me to someone who can spell this out in a way I can understand instead of the legaleze. I have a SCD of May 1980, have been on FERS since 1990, accumulated SL ~1000 hrs.
