...of our youth with blue uniforms and soldier salutes. True freedom has not been present in the U.S. since before the 1st settlers arrived. Thomas Jefferson defined it in the "Declaration of The Rights of Man and The Citizen" as: "Liberty consists in the freedom to do everything which injures no one else; hence the exercise of the natural rights of each man has no limits except those which assure to the other members of the society the enjoyment of the same rights. We have laws requiring seat belts, insurance, darkness of window tint...and thats just a sliver of the encroachment imposed on our freedom by our fake democracy.
"Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch. Liberty is a well-armed lamb contesting the vote!" Benjamin Franklin

"...of our youth with blue uniforms and soldier salutes. " I am not sure what indoctrination you are referring to. Boy Scouts recently celebrated it's 100 year anniversery and was founded by a British General in 1907. Naturally, Boy Scouts learn using Military principles and traditions because of General Robert Baden-Powell experiences in the Military. My son is in Boy Scouts and, while he enjoys all the Boy Scout activiites, he is still more councerned about the two fumes (Gas Fumes and PerFumes) than somehow becoming the equivalent of the Hitler Youth. As far as indoctrination, my kids school history and social study books are more scary than a Boy Scout or Girl Scout handbook.

Thinking back during the marches of illegal aliens, where they displayed the Mexican flag in a superior position over the United States flag makes me want to see laws put into place to specifically protect our symbol of freedom from those who would use it disrespectfully. The famous photo of the Mexican flag flying over an inverted United States flag screamed of the hatefulness of those who wish to enter this country illegally and yet gleen all the "perks", money and welfare possible.

I fear the newer generations, having been taught in public schools that patriotism is something to mock and loyalty to this country is something to be shunned, do not possess allegiance to our symbol of freedom. They do not "get it". They do not understand nor do they care.
