I am no preacher but, for all those who doubt, a clear example of a higher power placing someone at the right place at the right time. Hopefully Summer Adams will grow up to do great things or perhaps someday she will be in the right place at the right time for someone else.
Thanks Fedsmith for a good news story.

This is just one more -- albeit somewhat extreme -- example of every day Postal heroes, who are in almost every neighborhood 6 days a week and function as the eyes and ears of the community. The next time you see your letter carrier, thank him or her for looking out for and helping everyone.

The letter carrier who recently came up and rescued an abandoned baby girl is a hero. He said he was, "in the right place at the rigtht time." Well, there are no coincidences. God had a hand in making him a temporary angel of mercy.

As a resident of Columbus I thank Mike. Normally a postal carrier would have kept going for fear of being fired for not staying on time on his route, or interfering. That's how my friend got fired, when he stopped to help a battered woman get away from her abusive boyfriend. He got the dude away from her, called the cops, and waited until they took her with them. 2 weeks later he was fired.
We need more people like Mike and my friend in the world.

Kudos go to carrier Mike Herron. Hope your bossman doesn't give you a Letter of Warning for wasting time. If he does, your NALC Branch President will enjoy "frying" the boss. Carriers are being pressured in "burning up" the routes, but Mike, hip hip hooray! to you for watching out for your people on your route.

It's rare we here the good things that the majority of the postal workers do. Mike Herron is a shining example of most postal workers.
