The whole idea of this is just another reminder of how poorly the current admin. and democratic congress is managing our country. What is the result of giving everyone 250 bucks?? If you are retired SS recipient, you get a check and if you are retired civil service, you have to file for a tax credit?? God forbid!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have all of you that are questining and wondering, actually emailed, written or called you Senator and congressman? If you do this weekly and we all do it we will get attention. That is the only way we will be treated fairly. Remember the Notch Babies, Congres will just wait until we are all dead and then the problem is over.

Basically you are saying that all illegals, who are getting social security that all working AMERICANS have paid for,
will now RECEIVE a STIMULAS CHECK; that they are not even eligable for?

Yet , we who have worked for and paid for taxes, dues, etc. are not eligable for!

TOTALLY ludicrese.

My Mom is a CSRS retiree. However, she also gets a spousal social security benefit based on my Dad's earnings. My Dad is deceased. Will Mom get a a stimulus payment? Mom retired in 1980, so she is not subject to offset. Thanks

Does anyone know where us CSRS-Offset people fit in this scheme? I contributed to Social Security, so at age 62 my CSRS annuity will be "offset" (reduced) whether I apply for social security at age 62 or wait until later. I figure since I paid into Social Security I should get the $250 stimulus payment. Would appreciate any insight into this confusing issue.

I'm a CSRS retiree; my wife has never worked for the government. Since we file our taxes jointly, will we get a $500.00 credit, or will she get her own $250.00 check at some point?
