As a federal employee, and recently retired AF Senior NCO, I find it abhorrent, embarassing, and tiresome that our elected officials are forcing our junior members of our armed forces (more accurately, their families) to live in such status, i.e., needing food, clothing, shelter, and other basic subsistence tools. This has been ongoing for decades and is not a new awareness. 99.99% of all elected officials have zero military experience whatsoever, and earn wages with benefits that are truly embarassing; they are truly clueless on what is needed. If we want to help the troops, lets see ALL the elected officials give back, beginning with the Executive Branch on down!
