AFGE and its minions feel they are exempt from any rules that prevent their continued support of Democrat candidates. Why don't they just register as a subordinate arm of the Democrat party and come out of the closet? The closet door has been open for years.

Consultant should take off those rose cololred glasses. Sounds like you have some hidden issues as well.
When it comes to politics, you can't sit on the fence forever. You need to support a candidate that will best represent you in office.
I hope Rocky lands on his feet.

I understand he was found in violation and got a friendly hand slap, followed by a promotion.

The fact that this Union official was warned two times about violations of the Hatch Act and went ahead and did it anyway is fairly common. This is just one of the ways that Unions go about "pushing the envelope" of what thay can get away with. In my agancy a Union President was issue a cease and desist order for his misuse of the agency email system. I received a phone call from one of the National Union reps who is an attorney complaining about the C&D order. This National Rep/attorney told me that he had advised the Union President to ignore the order. That's the kind of "in your face" defiance that the Unions exercise in the Federal government. For whatever reason, Federal Agencies too often allow the Unions to get away with this type of blatant and open defiance of rules and regulations that apply to everyone else. This contributes to the Unions and Union officials believing they are invulnerable, which in turn increases the level of mischief they engage in.

Advise to the HHS Consultant. Not all members or for that matter officials representing the AFGE are Democrats. It may appear that the AFGE is totally an army of Democrats with no other views outside the Democrat relm. However, there are a number of free thinking individuals within the AFGE who support ideas that arise from other than the Jackass point of view. Don't jump to conclusions and lump everyone within a particular group into one manner of thinking.
