I am relocating from one GS position to another; however, I need to drive from Nevada to Alaska. I only have 40 hours of leave on the books and I want to request an additional 40 hours of admin leave for pre- and post moving. It will take me a week to get there, so I'll need another week to find a place to live, etc. Does my boss have the authority to grant me 40 hours of admin leave? Our HRO says no way.
