I have a new email address and want to update my subscription so it goes to this address. How do I do that?
To change an email address, you must first unsubscribe your old email address by going to the unsubscribe page at http://www.fedsmith.com/email_list/. You will receive a confirmation email you must respond to to confirm your intent to unsubscribe. Then you can subscribe to the email newsletter again using your new email address by visiting our subscribe page at http://www.fedsmith.com/email_list/. Be sure to respond to the confirmation email you will receive.
Can other people in my agency subscribe to the FedSmith.com email newsletter? Is there a charge to me or our agency for doing this?
Your agency can have as many subscribers as it wants to. All they have to do is click on the "newsletter" button on the top of each page on our site. Or you can go directly to this link at http://www.fedsmith.com/email_list/ to subscribe. Be sure to reply to the confirming e-mail you will receive in order to activate your subscription or it will not be activated.

There is no charge to subscribe and no charge will be incurred regardless of how many times you sign up or how many people sign up from your agency or organization.
I am leaving for a temporary assignment. Can I unsubscribe my address and then add a new address or resubscribe when I return? Is there a charge for this?
You can subscribe or unsubscribe as often as you like. There is no charge for this service. It is entirely automated as long as you subscribe and unsubscribe through the forms provided on our web site.
What does FedSmith.com do with the information I submit to them to join their mailing list?
Many users are understandably concerned about their privacy. Therefore, FedSmith.com wants you to know what we will and will not do with the information you give to us.

FedSmith.com will not:

- Rent, sell, or give out our mailing list to other companies
- Post the names on our mailing list to our web site for the whole world to see

FedSmith.com will:

- Send our email newsletter out to the users signed up to receive our mailing list during the week when we post new headlines.
- Make sure that our users receive the most current news of interest to federal employees
Can I post a message to the entire FedSmith.com list?
Posting messages to the entire list is limited to the system administrator. Our goal is to provide easy-to-read headlines to our readers and we do not want to have our subscribers overwhelmed with e-mail.

For readers who do want to post their views, we provide a section for readers' comments on each one of our articles (visit http://www.fedsmith.com/articles to see a list of our articles). We also take periodic surveys on significant issues and summarize these views in future articles.
How do I unsubscribe from the FedSmith.com mailing list?
In each message that FedSmith.com sends out to our list, we provide information at the bottom which you can use to unsubscribe your email address. Just click on this link or copy and paste the full link directly into your browser's location bar to go to it. When you type in your e-mail address and reply to the confirming e-mail, you will be immediately removed from the list. Be sure to reply to the confirming e-mail you receive to complete the transaction.

This e-mail will be sent to the address you have entered as the one you want to unsubscribe.

If you prefer, you can click on the "unsubscribe here" link at the top of any page and you will see a form to unsubscribe on that page.

The most common causes for being unable to "unsubscribe" include trying to unsubscribe from the wrong list (we have two lists; be sure to select either the html or the text only list depending on which format you are subscribed to); using an e-mail address which is different from the one used for your subscription; or the confirmation e-mail being blocked by the server used to transmit your e-mail.

If you experience problems trying to unsubscribe, send a message to FedSmith Inc using our contact form at http://www.fedsmith.com/contact/. Sending an unsubscribe request to the address used for distribution of the newsletter will not work and only goes to a computer program that will be unable to process your request, so as a result we will not see your message.
