The Voters Trust, a nonprofit 501 (c)(4) which seeks to mobilize voters, says that it is pulling together a million dollar bounty for new information related to IRS actions relating to targeting conservative organizations.

On the Megyn Kelly show on Fox News, Catherine Engelbrecht stated:

“The IRS bounty is the people’s bounty for the truth. Put together by The Voters Trust, it is an opportunity for citizens to come forward and speak to the truth.

If they have information that will reveal what is really happening inside of the halls of the IRS, this is a way to incentivize that truth to come forward.

This is a way to power American people to hold government accountable.”

The bounty notice reads, in part:

“The Voters Trust is offering a reward up to $1 million to an IRS insider or other government whistleblower who comes forward with a new, relevant evidence implicating IRS leadership or the Obama Administration in the IRS witch hunt targeting conservatives.”

This offer is not designed to convict an Internal Revenue Service employee for their actions; it is designed to encourage those who may have information to come forward with that information. For their trouble and any risk they may be taking, the $1 million may be sufficient inducement to share the information.

IRSBountyBut, for those who may be looking forward to receiving the million dollars, you will have to provide specific information and not just an accusation or a belief that you think something has happened that would be useful to the organization. To qualify, you will need to provide “relevant evidence including emails, eye-witness accounts, or testimony of political targeting of Americans by the IRS or the Obama administration that has not previously been reported.”

Moreover, the money you may be hoping to receive will be “crowd-funded” by the organization. For those unfamiliar with the term, crowd funding refers to receiving money from outside sources to fund the venture–in this case to fund the reward to information pertaining to actions by the Internal Revenue Service in targeting conservatives and conservative organizations by IRS leadership or the Obama administration.

So, for those who need a million dollars, and have information about the IRS or leadership in the organization or the agency’s role in targeting conservative organizations, this may be your opportunity to retire with more money than you current have in your Thrift Savings Plan to fund your retirement travels.
