Kansas Mailman Credited with Saving Christmas for Local Families

A mail carrier in a small town in Kansas was given credit for “saving Christmas” after his mail truck caught on fire Sunday. He took quick action to rescue the packages of Christmas gifts from his truck that were on their way to the homes of local families.

The bad news is the truck’s engine compartment was destroyed by the fire. The good news, however, is both he and his Christmas cargo made it out safely.

A Facebook post from the Osawatomie Volunteer Fire Department read, “Your Prime delivery may have just lost its Prime. The good news is, the mailman saved Christmas!”

The fire department’s post pictured below showed pictures of the rescued packages lined up on the side of the road:
