Federal Employees ‘Day of Action’

The Federal Workers Alliance has planned a protest on December 18 to pressure Congress not to cut the jobs of federal workers as part of a deal for the fiscal cliff negotiations.

The Federal Workers Alliance, a coalition of 21 unions which collectively represent more than 300,000 federal employees, has planned a protest on December 18 to pressure Congress not to cut the jobs of federal workers as part of a deal for the fiscal cliff negotiations.

The purpose of the “day of action” is to ask federal workers to call the U.S. Capitol Switchboard at (202) 224-3121 and tell Congress not to target the federal workforce with cuts.
