VA in Phoenix has five national award winners

Five employees from the VA in Phoenix have been recognized for their significant accomplishments in the past year.

There is a lot of news about Feds who have made national headlines because of their involvement in problems. Here are five from an agency that have been recognized for their significant contributions by the VA Central Office.

Richard Pasquale, CFO, is the Distinguished National Financial Management Awardee for 2002.

Dodi Messer, Coding Compliance Specialist, is the 2002 Health Information Management Professional of the Year Awardee.

Rafael Martinez, Human Resources Officer, is the Jimmy Lee Awardee for Innovations in Human Resources.

Paula Pedene APR, Public Affairs Officer, is the Award of Excellence recipient by the Public Relations Society of America’s Health Academy for her exemplary public affairs programs.

Bruce Looney, Supply Processing Distribution (SPD) Supervisor, is the SPD Manager of the Year Awardee.
