Senate Confirms FLRA, OPM Nominees

On October 16 and 30, the Senate confirmed the nominations of the Director of the Office of Personnel Management and three members of the Federal Labor Relations Authority.

According to the Senate’s website, the following were confirmed:

October 30, 2013: OFFICE OF PERSONNEL MANAGEMENT:

Katherine Archuleta, of Colorado, to be Director of the Office of Personnel Management for a term of four years.

October 16, 2013: FEDERAL LABOR RELATIONS AUTHORITY

Carol Waller Pope, of the District of Columbia, to be a Member of the Federal Labor Relations Authority for a term of five years expiring July 1, 2014.

Ernest W. Dubester, of Virginia, to be a Member of the Federal Labor Relations Authority for a term of five years expiring July 29, 2017.

Patrick Pizzella, of Virginia, to be a Member of the Federal Labor Relations Authority for a term of five years expiring July 1, 2015.

On an interesting note, as of October 31, FLRA’s website only lists Ernest Dubester and as Chairman.

Archuleta, an experienced Washington policy player, was last seen as a senior staffer at Departments of Labor, Energy and Transportation.
