Fiorina: ‘I’d Fire 400 Senior Executives at the VA’

Republican presidential candidate Carly Fiorina said in the latest debate that she would fire 400 senior executives at the Department of Veterans Affairs if she were elected president.

In last night’s Republican presidential debate, Carly Fiorina said that as president, she would fire 400 senior executives at the Department of Veterans Affairs for dereliction of duty to veterans.

Fiorina also reiterated that she would dramatically seek to cut the overall size of the federal workforce via attrition by not re-hiring retiring federal employees.

Fiorina is not the first presidential candidate to take aim at the VA. Donald Trump also made a promise to fire “corrupt and incompetent VA executives” in a reform plan he released for the agency several months ago as part of his presidential campaign.

Fiorina’s comments can be seen in the video above.
