OPM Continues to Reduce Retirement Applications Backlog

OPM’s latest monthly retirement processing status report shows a decline in the number of backlogged applications in November.

OPM released its latest monthly retirement processing status report for November. The number of claims received was down over previous months, but the number processed was on par with past months, helping to continue to reduce the backlog of applications.

6,584 applications were received in November and 11,966 were processed bringing the total outstanding backlog down to 31,704.
