What Do Feds Think of Obama’s Paid Parental Leave Policy?

FedSmith.com users indicated in a recent survey that they like the president’s proposal to give a new paid parental leave option to federal workers.

The White House announced last week that the president would be signing a memorandum directing agencies to to offer their employees 240 hours of advanced sick leave.

We have surveyed our users in the past about this and they indicated they did not like the idea, so we were curious if the sentiment had changed at all.

Results from a new survey recently posted on FedSmith.com suggest that our users have warmed to the idea:

Do you agree with the president giving six weeks of paid parental leave to federal workers?

  • Yes: 71%
  • No: 29%
