OPM Provides FAQ’s on Upcoming FEGLI Open Season

The Office of Personnel Management has released some important questions and answers about the upcoming FEGLI open season later this year.

The Office of Personnel Management announced last summer that there will be an open season for the Federal Employees’ Group Life Insurance Program (FEGLI) this year. The open season will run from September 1, 2016 through September 30, 2016.

OPM recently put out a benefits administration letter with some important questions and answers on the upcoming open season to help federal employees prepare. A copy of the letter follows below.
