The Office of Personnel Management finally has a new permanent director.
replace the current acting director, Margaret Wiechert.OPM has been without a permanent director since the departure of Jeff Pon last October.
Cabaniss previously served as Chairman of the Federal Labor Relations Authority and spent more than 20 years in the United States Senate overseeing civil service issues on the Committee on Governmental Affairs and the Committee on Appropriations. Ms. Cabaniss earned her B.A. from the University of Georgia and J.D. from the Catholic University of America.
