News about the Office of Personnel Management’s (OPM) deferred resignation offer took the federal workforce by storm earlier this week when it was announced by email.
Federal employees who are eligible for the offer have until February 6, 2025, to resign to take advantage of the offer. White House officials said when it was announced that they expect 5-10% of federal employees to resign under the offer. Many federal employees have expressed skepticism about it, however.
